Photographers Take Epic Car Photographs by Lighting Up a Frozen Lake from Below

Photographers Take Epic Car Photographs by Lighting Up a Frozen Lake from Below | Mobile Photography | Scoop.it

These have to qualify as some of the coolest car photographs we've ever seen. Yes, we've seen some amazing composites and some real live racing photos that are quite epic in their own right, but these images by photographers Dmitry Chistoprudov and Nikolay Rykov have the entire Internet wide-eyed.

Kitty Fisher's insight:

Lighting can be done in a number of suitable ways. This one just so happens to be out of the normal. Cars on ice that are creating some of the newest and best possible designs.

The Weekly Roundup: 3 Workouts to Improve Your Photography, Photography Showdown between iPhone 5s and HTC One and Lensbaby

The Weekly Roundup: 3 Workouts to Improve Your Photography, Photography Showdown between iPhone 5s and HTC One and Lensbaby | Mobile Photography | Scoop.it

Exercise for photography? Or the showdown between HTC One and iPhone 5. But how about the Lensbaby that brings creativity to the forefront. Keep reading to read more.

3 Workouts to Improve your Photography:

http://digital-photography-school.com/3-workouts-to-improve-your-photography/

What can you do that would be considered a workout for your photography? One would be the guessing game, when someone asks how you took that photo? Simply say, which setting do you think it was set in? Quizzical but beneficial to remembering and getting into the game of what camera setting a photo looks to be in.

HTC One M8 Vs iPhone 5:

http://bgr.com/2014/04/01/htc-one-m8-vs-iphone-5s-camera-photography/

These two big names are going to war, that is going to war on which one is better a capturing photos. The HTC One seems to be lacking (for a better word) quality and the reproduction of the photo on to the screen. In a test photo it seemed to give off a bluish tint that was not apart of the lighting. Yet the iPhone 5 still composed a perfectly light twin to what the original object must have looked like.

Lensbaby Venturing Into iPhoneography, Unveils New Sweet Spot Lens:

http://petapixel.com/2014/04/02/lensbaby-moving-iphoneography-unveils-new-sweet-spot-lens/

iPhone attachments on the rise and that means new ways of catching on to photographers creative sparks to buy them. This cool instrument lens, allows you to focus on one point that you want in focus, while the rest of the image becomes this blurry psychedelic haze.

Wrapping up this weeks of new ventures and whether or not to pick up the new HTC just for it's camera...may have you thinking twice before you upgrade. How ever many times it comes do to it, practice makes perfect in the photography world. Come back at the end of each week to see what else we have to share with you.

The Weekly Roundup: Software Workshop an Introduction to Digital Photo Editing, 5 Reasons Why Having People in Your Photo is a Good Thing and Shooting Detail and evoking the Imagination with Portraits | Mobile Photography | Scoop.it

The Weekly Roundup has come to the end of the week. Meaning we have three articles that will not only peak your interest. But also to get you thinking more. Maybe they could even change your own idea towards portraits or if you'd prefer to not have people photo-bomb in your landscape photos.

How-to start editing digital photos:

http://www.popphoto.com/how-to/2014/02/software-workshop-introduction-to-digital-photo-editing

When you think of a workshop program to help you along whatever you've chosen to spend the majority of your time with. How about a workshop to get you to start editing your digital photography? Come on we all needed a bit of help in the beginning, so if you are just now getting into the digital game, check out this article.

5 Reasons Why Having People in Your Photos is a Good Thing:

http://weeder.org/rLHYcYU

Sometimes that landscape shot looks incredible until you get to the editing room and notice that a hiker is present in the background. Do not get discouraged, having people in your photos is a good thing! Showing scale, distance and even individuals can help tell the story that you want to get across.

Portraits: Shoot Details and Evoke Imagination:

http://digital-photography-school.com/portraits-shoot-details-evoke-imagination

Who knew a hand could tell so much in a portrait. Getting up close (literally) with your subject, crop the image to only show half of their face, a hand or even their silhouette. Show off the skills provided by your eye and the camera, telling a slightly different story than just the straight forward portrait.

When the day is done, all you want to do is either edit your images and hope you captured that story out of one photo. New to the editing world, try out the workshop. Want to shoot in detail or learn that people photo-bombing your image may just very well be the best thing to happen. Come back next week to see what we have rounded up for you.
