A designer's concept Fujitsu Lifebook would come with slots to insert a smartphone, tablet, and digital camera.

 

This was only a designer's concept so far but I discovered through Tiaan Jonker that now industrial players seem to look at this modular approach mixing tablets, laptop and smartphones.

 

Still a concept though.
