Está a punto de comenzar la 5ª edición de los prestigiosos cursos on-line de calidad de GECLID: tres de ellos dedicados a la correcta realización de informes diagnósticos en inmunopatología, y el introductorio a la calidad en laboratorio diagnóstico.

Los 4 cursos están acreditados para profesionales sanitarios con créditos CfC y se realizan en formato completamente on-line, con una metodología muy interactiva entre profesores y alumnos.

¡Pero si la videoconferencia se lleva utilizando desde hace 20 años! Totalmente cierto, sin embargo, ahora se usa de manera masiva, antes de manera muy puntual.

Además, hay un cambio importante en el sector de la formación: ahora ya no destaca quien usa videoconferencia en sus cursos (es la normalidad), destaca el que la usa de manera correcta, y aprovecha todas sus posibilidades.

As discussed, the three sorts of MOOCs would serve different types of learners differently based on what the institutions would offer and what the learners might need and expect.

There are no clear crystal balls in accurately predicting what would emerge out of these winners, though it is for sure that the ultimate model of Higher Education would likely go with xMOOCs within the coming decade, as the demand for qualifications, formal teacher-based education is still the norm.

A pesar de su corta edad los MOOCs siguen experimentando variaciones importantes. Los x-MOOCs (modelo automatizado, centrado en la tecnología y con rentabilida económica esperada de la oferta formativa en línea, Ej: Udacity), los c-MOOCs (basados en el conectivismo, el aprendizaje distribuido y más centrado en el alumno. Ej: EdX) y una tercera variante que puede ser una especie de híbrido de las dos anteriores.

Like with so many fads, MOOC's are coming under intense scrutiny. New research by MOOC Research and funded by the Gates Foundation shows mooc fad is over. (New post: The Fad of MOOC's is over: Synchronous online learning comes forward.

Is this the begining of the end?

Is this the end of the trend?

Some universities are planning their future MOOCs while others consider them as a past and useless tool?

 

On the other hand, the title of this assay could be misleading: what about the good quality offered asynchronous online learning courses? why the reflexion is that after MOOC online education should be only "synchronous"???? On my opinion, one of the most powerful characteristics of online education is the point of 

asynchronicity.

 “university” that will allow students to study courses from 31 institutions around the world for free online is to launch this week – and is billed as a more attractive option than massive open online courses.

Students who complete an Open Educational Resources University course will be able to pay a fee to have their work assessed for academic credit, which would then be recognised by all the universities participating in the OERu.

I'm trying with one

Previouslu you should have all the material in google Drive, Dropbox or Camera-roll (doesn't work with Youtube, or external links, for example)

 

Not very useful now, until there's not an android app and the material load is so limited. Only works with IOS, and particularly iPhone 5
